Mount Kilimanjaro combined with Zanzibar Vacations

OVERVIEW:

Spend 5 days | 4 Nights climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via Marangu Route Known as the “Coca-Cola” route, the Marangu Route is a classic trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well established route. Many favour the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, due to its more gradual slope. It is also the only route which offers sleeping huts with dormitory style accommodation. There are 60 bunk beds at both Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut. Guests are supplied with mattresses and pillows, but sleeping bags are still required. The huts have communal dining halls and basic washrooms, ranging from flushing toilets and running water at the lower huts to long drop toilets and buckets of water at Kibo Hut then escape to Zanzibar Island and explore long stretches of virgin powdery white sand beaches. This itinerary also allows you to spend 3 Days | 2 Nights at Baraza Resort & Spa which is located on the East Coast of Zanzibar where you will have the chance to discover the best activities in Zanzibar Island including the Stone Town City Tour, Spice Tour and the Prison Island Boat Trip. You can start on any date you request. We can help to arrange flights and speed boats in and out of Zanzibar

From here we descend, stopping for lunch and a rest at Kibo before continuing on to the Horombo encampment.

The beginning of this climb is done in the dark and requires headlamps or flashlights. It will be very cold until you start descending, so you will need all of your warm layers.
